The throw on your sofa is probably the least loved thing in the room.
It came from a supermarket aisle, or it was a gift, and it's been quietly going flat and bobbly ever since. You still reach for it every evening, because the alternative is putting the heating back on. What it's actually made of
Faux rabbit fur, bubble-woven
The front is a dense, high pile brushed to feel like rabbit fur, woven into raised squares rather than a flat sheet. The tufts trap air, which is what makes it warm without being heavy, and the texture is why people can't stop touching it.
Short velvet plush on the back
The reverse is a smooth, close-cropped plush in a matching shade. It's soft on its own, but its real job is grip: it lies flat on a sofa and holds on a bed instead of sliding to the floor at 2am.
No animal fur, no wool
Entirely synthetic pile, so there's nothing to itch, nothing to shed and nothing the moths will want. Wash it cool on a gentle cycle and it comes out as plump as it went in.

Common questions
Is it actually warm, or just soft?
Both, and the warmth is the point. The pile is deep enough that the raised squares trap a layer of air between you and the room, the same way a good coat does. It's noticeably warmer than a fleece throw and closer to a light duvet, without the weight. Plenty of people use it to put the heating on later in the evening.
Does it shed?
You may find a few loose fibres in the first wash or two, which is normal for any new pile fabric, and then it settles. It won't leave fluff on your clothes the way a chunky knit or a mohair throw does.
How do I wash it?
In your own machine, on a cool gentle cycle with a mild detergent. No bleach, no fabric softener, and don't tumble dry, since heat is what flattens synthetic fur. Shake it out and dry it flat or over an airer, then give the pile a shake and it plumps straight back up.
Will it slide off the sofa or the bed?
Much less than a fleece. The velvet plush on the reverse has a little grip to it, so it holds on upholstery and on a duvet cover rather than pooling on the floor.
What size should I order?
For one person on the sofa, the Throw (130 x 160 cm). For two on a sofa, or a single bed, the Single (150 x 200 cm) is the size most people pick. For a double or king bed, or a big corner sofa, go for the King (200 x 230 cm). There's a scale drawing further up the page if you're between two.
Will the colour match the photos?
Very closely. The solid shades are dyed evenly through the pile. The Ombre and Tie-Dye designs are hand-dyed, so the exact placement of the light and dark patches will differ slightly from blanket to blanket, and that variation is part of the look.
Is it suitable for someone with sensitive skin?
It's entirely synthetic, so there's no wool or animal hair in it, and the pile is smooth rather than prickly. If you've given up on wool blankets because of the itch, this is the usual answer.
