What it's actually made of
Colour cast through the resin, not printed on it
It is moulded resin with a stained-glass finish. The colour runs right through each panel instead of being printed on the surface, and the dark outlines are moulded in as part of the piece, which is why the light arrives in separate panels of green rather than one flat wash.
A cactus, not a green post
The greens sit deeper along the ribs and lighten between them, so the body looks rounded rather than flat, and the dark moulded lines run vertically the way the spines do. The bloom at the crown is done in a warmer colour, which is what stops the whole thing reading as a shrub.

Is it bright enough to be useful, or is it purely decorative?
It is an accent lamp rather than a working light. It gives a corner a warm patch of green in the evening; it will not light a desk you are trying to write at.
How is it powered?
It runs from a USB cable, so it will go into any USB adapter, a laptop or a power bank — whichever socket is closest to the sill you want it on. Nothing to water and nothing to charge up either.
How big is it?
About 15 cm tall and 15 cm wide, and 10 cm front to back — roughly one and a half times the height of a mug. It suits a windowsill, a desk or a kitchen shelf without crowding it. Measurements are approximate and vary a little from design to design.
How do I clean it?
A dry, soft cloth, or a soft brush down the ribs. No solvents, polishes or harsh sprays — resin does not take kindly to them.

Will it arrive in one piece?
It is cast resin rather than real glass, so it is a good deal tougher than it looks and will not shatter if it takes a knock on a sill. It is cushioned and boxed for the journey all the same. If anything does arrive damaged, send us a photograph and we will put it right.
