Each green sits right through its own panel rather than on the surface, with the dark leading lines moulded in as part of the piece. The wing is moulded as long overlapping panels that step from deep bottle green at the shoulder to bright emerald at the tip, with a warmer panel through the breast. The beak and the eye are small and precisely moulded, which is what makes it read as a parrot rather than a green bird.

Is it bright, or is it just for looking at?
It's an accent lamp. The glow is soft and green-toned — enough to give a shelf or a corner something to do in the evening, not enough to light the room. In daylight it earns its place as coloured resin.
How is it powered?
Off a USB cable. That means no special fitting — any USB adapter, a laptop or a power bank will do, so it can go on the shelf you want rather than the one nearest the socket you'd expect.
How big is it?
About 15 cm tall and 15 cm wide, and 10 cm front to back — roughly one and a half times the height of a mug. He's happy among books, beside plants or on a kitchen sill. Measurements are approximate and vary a little from design to design.
How do I clean it?
A dry, soft cloth over the panels. Nothing wet, no polish, and no solvents or harsh cleaning sprays — resin doesn't take to them.
Where does it look best?
Against something plain, and near something living. Beside houseplants, on a bookshelf, on a kitchen sill. Greens look their best when there isn't much competing with them.
