How warm does it actually get?
Comfortably warm rather than hot — the sort of heat you'd want against bare skin for an hour at a time. The controller on the cable lets you turn it down, and most people settle on a lower setting once their feet have warmed through.
Is it expensive to run?
No. It draws a small fraction of what a plug-in room heater uses, because it is warming your feet rather than the whole room. An evening's use costs pennies.
Can I use it with socks or bare feet?
Either. Bare feet warm up faster; socks hold the heat longer once you're warm. The inside is soft enough that bare feet are perfectly comfortable.
How do I clean it?
Unplug it first and take the heating unit out. The cover can then be washed cool on a gentle cycle and left to air dry. Never wash or soak the heating element itself, and make sure everything is completely dry before plugging it back in.
Is it safe to leave on?

Will it fit my feet?
