You'd know that outline from the doorway with the lights off.
Anyone who has lived with a Labrador can pick one out at fifty yards in the rain — the heavy head, the otter tail, the way they sit as though they've been asked to and are being very good about it. That shape is the whole design here, and it holds up whether the lamp is lit or not.

What it's actually made of
Cast resin, colour right through it, not printed on
The colour goes all the way through the panels rather than sitting on the surface, and the dark leading lines are moulded in as part of the piece — which is why the light comes through in blocks rather than as one flat orange wash. It is far lighter than leaded glass, and it won't chip or crack if it's caught by a coat sleeve.
A Labrador, not a generic dog
The ambers go deepest across the back and the top of the head and lighten down the chest and front legs, and the outline keeps the broad skull, the drop ear and the thick tail. That's the difference between a Labrador and a dog-shaped lamp.

Is it a real light or just an ornament?
It's a real light, but an accent one. It gives a corner or a hallway a warm glow in the evening; it won't replace the lamp you read by, and it isn't meant to.
How is it powered?
It runs from a USB cable, so it goes into any USB adapter, a laptop or a power bank — whatever's nearest the hall table. No special socket needed.
How big is it?
About 15 cm tall and 15 cm wide, 10 cm front to back — roughly one and a half times the height of a mug. It sits well on a hall table, a bookshelf or the sill by the back door without needing the whole surface. Measurements are approximate and vary a little between designs.
How do I clean it?
A dry, soft cloth, or a soft brush run along the panels. Keep solvents, polish and harsh sprays away from it — resin doesn't like them.
Where does it look best?
A hallway table, a windowsill, or a bookshelf where the light can come through it rather than land on it. It's a good answer to a corner that currently does nothing after dark.
Will it survive the journey?
It's cushioned and boxed for the post, and being resin it won't shatter the way real glass would. If anything is damaged when you unpack it, send us a photo and we'll put it right.
