What it's actually made of
Cast resin, not a printed panel
The colour is cast right through the resin rather than printed onto the surface, and the dark leading lines are moulded in as part of the piece. Those lines do the drawing, which is why the detail survives at a distance — and unlike leaded glass it is light to move and will not crack if it is knocked.
A shepherd, not any old dog
The near-black runs over the saddle and the muzzle, the tans warm up across the cheeks and chest, and the ears stand upright as their own tall panels. The ears and the dark mask are what make the breed read instantly.

Is it bright enough to be useful?
It is an accent lamp rather than a working light. Enough to give a hallway or a landing a warm point in the evening; not enough to replace the ceiling light.
How is it powered?
It runs from a USB cable. That means a USB plug adapter in the hall socket, or a laptop, or a power bank — whichever is nearest to where you want it standing.
How big is it?
About 15 cm tall and 15 cm wide, with 10 cm front to back — roughly one and a half times the height of a mug. It sits well on a hall table, a bedside table or a windowsill. Measurements are approximate and vary a little between designs.
How should I clean it?
A dry, soft cloth or a soft brush along the panels. No solvents, sprays or polishes — resin does not take them well.
Where does it suit best?
Hallways and landings, mostly. Anywhere the light can sit behind it or come through it, and anywhere you want a bit of company in the evening.
Is it packed well enough to travel?
Resin is a good deal harder to break than glass, and it is cushioned and boxed for the journey besides. If anything arrives damaged, send us a photograph and we will put it right.
