What it's actually made of
Cast resin, not a printed picture
The colour goes right through each panel instead of being printed on the surface, and the dark leading lines are moulded in as part of the piece — so the light comes through in clear blocks and those lines do the drawing. It is far lighter than leaded glass, and it will not shatter if it goes off the sill.
A corgi, and not a fox
The ginger runs strongest over the back and the ears, the cream lightens down the chest and the paws, and the ears stand tall and wide as their own two panels. The ears and the low, long body are what stop it looking like anything else.

Common questions
Is it a real lamp or just decorative?
It is a real lamp, but an accent one. It gives a room a warm point to look at in the evening rather than lighting it properly.
How is it powered?
By USB. The cable ends in a USB plug, so it will run off a plug adapter, a laptop or a power bank — handy if the kitchen sill you have in mind is nowhere near a socket.
How big is it?
About 15 cm tall and 15 cm wide, and 10 cm front to back — roughly one and a half times the height of a mug. It sits happily on a kitchen windowsill, a bedside table or a shelf. Measurements are approximate and vary a little between designs.
Is it fussy to clean?
Not at all. A dry, soft cloth, or a soft brush run over the panels. Keep solvents, polishes and harsh sprays away from it — resin doesn't get on with them.
Where do people usually put it?
Kitchen windowsills, more than anywhere else. It also does well on a hall table or a bookshelf, anywhere the light can come through the panels.
Will it arrive undamaged?
Resin travels far better than glass — it doesn't shatter — and it is cushioned and boxed for the trip anyway. On the rare occasion something is broken, send a photograph and we will make it right.
