45 x 45 cm suits most British sofas. Go to 50 for a deep or corner sofa, down to 40 for an armchair. The 35 works well on this design because the pattern repeats.
Will it fit the pads I already have?
Yes, as long as they match the size you choose. A pad a touch larger than the cover is fine and actually sits plumper.
Does cream mark easily?
It's a warm cream rather than a white, and the repeat breaks the surface up — so it's more forgiving than a plain cover. It comes off to wash in any case.
Can I wash it?
Cover off, cool wash on a gentle cycle, dry flat. Don't tumble dry — the pom-poms are what suffer first.
Will it look exactly like the photo?
Very close. The cover is cut from running cloth, so where the rows of dogs meet the seam varies a little from one to the next.
Does it work as a gift?
It's the easiest of the four to give, because the repeat reads as a pattern first and a dog second.
