The trouble with a printed "tapestry" cushion
From a photograph you can't tell the difference. In the room you can tell immediately. A print sits flat on the surface and goes slightly shiny where the light hits it; after a wash the colours lift and the edges of the design go soft.
A woven one has the design built into the cloth in coloured thread. You can feel the birds under your fingers, and it will look the same in five years as it does out of the parcel.
