Braided, not moulded
Three separate strands of copper are worked over one another by hand until the braid tightens and holds itself. It isn't a braid pattern cast into a solid bar — the strands are genuinely woven, which is why the texture carries all the way round.

99.9% pure copper, with no plating on any strand. Where the strands cross and rub against each other, there's no coating to wear off — it's the same metal underneath as on the surface.

Common questions
Does copper leave a green mark underneath?
It can, and it's better to know now. Copper reacts with the natural acids on skin, and on some people that leaves a faint green tint under the band — more so in hot weather or with aftershave and hand cream underneath. It is harmless, it's a mark and not a rash, and it washes off with soap in seconds. A thin coat of clear lacquer inside the braid reduces it considerably if it bothers you.
Will the braid come undone?
No. The strands are worked tight enough that the pattern locks against itself, and the ends are finished so nothing can unravel from them. It's a construction that gets its strength from the weave rather than from a solder joint that can crack.
Is it heavy enough for a man's wrist?
Three strands give it real presence — it doesn't read as a delicate piece. That said, it's copper rather than steel, so it isn't a dead weight either. Most men who wear it stop noticing it after a day or two.
How do I keep it looking right?
