How Yarrow is made
Engraved, not pressed
Every flower is cut into the surface by hand, one petal at a time, and the vine is traced right around the full band — so the pattern carries on round the back where a stamped piece would go blank.
Solid to the core
99.9% pure copper. Not plated, not filled, not coated. If you filed into the band you would find the same metal you can see on the outside — and no nickel in it.
Open back, one movement
The band is open at the back and gently springy, so it slides straight on and settles. Ease it a little wider or a little closer with your fingers and it keeps that shape.

Common questions
Will it leave a green mark on my skin?
It can, and we'd rather say so plainly. Copper reacts with the natural acids in your skin, and on some people that leaves a faint green tint under the band — more likely in hot weather, or with hand cream or perfume underneath. It is harmless, it is a mark rather than a rash, and it washes off with soap and water in a few seconds. If you'd rather avoid it altogether, a thin coat of clear nail lacquer painted inside the band reduces it considerably, and takes a minute to redo now and then.
I've reacted to jewellery before — is this likely to be different?
Most jewellery reactions are to nickel, which is used in the base metal under plated pieces. There is no nickel in Yarrow at all. We can't promise any metal suits every single person, but the usual culprit simply isn't in this bracelet.
How do I clean it, and what happens as it ages?
Copper darkens with wear into a warm brown patina, and the engraved flowers deepen as it does — a lot of people prefer it that way. If you want the bright finish back, rub it gently with a soft cloth and a little lemon juice with salt, or a copper polish, then rinse and dry. It takes a minute and it works every time.
Can I wear it every day, and in the shower?
Yes to every day — it's solid metal, it doesn't mind being knocked about. We'd take it off for showering, swimming and washing up though: soap and chlorine speed up the darkening and make the green tint more likely.
What size should I order?
There's only one to choose: one size. The band is open at the back and adjustable, so it fits most wrists as it comes, and a gentle squeeze or ease with your fingers takes care of the rest. Nothing to measure.
