The sentimental pieces are nearly always the worst made

Common questions
Does copper mark the skin green?
It can do, and we'd sooner be the shop that mentions it. Copper reacts with the acids naturally in your skin and the reaction can leave a light green tint on the skin underneath. It is quite harmless — a mark rather than a rash — and it washes away with soap in seconds. Whether it happens at all varies from one person to the next, and warm days make it likelier. The clear lacquer on the inner side of the links reduces it noticeably.
Is copper jewellery good for you in any way?
Not in the way it's often implied. Copper as a metal is naturally antimicrobial, which is a property of the material and nothing we'd dress up as a benefit to the wearer.
