It isn't copper, it's a copper-coloured coat a few microns thick over something cheaper. The first place it goes is the underside, where the band rests on a desk or a car door, and once that patch turns silvery-grey there is nothing you can polish it back to.

What it's actually made of
99.9% pure copper, one metal
Not copper-plated, not copper-toned. The colour you can see is the metal the whole band is made from, which is why a scratch on it is still copper underneath.
No nickel
Nickel is the most common jewellery contact allergen there is, and it is in a great deal of plated costume jewellery. There is none in this band.
Plain on purpose, and heavier for it
With no cut-out pattern taken out of the band, there is more metal left in it. It has a proper weight on the wrist and sits still rather than sliding about. Copper is also naturally antimicrobial — that is a property of the metal itself, and we make no claim about what it does for you.

Common questions
Will it turn my skin green?
It can leave a faint green tint on some people, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. It is the copper reacting with the natural acids in your skin — it is harmless, it is a mark and not a rash, and it washes off with soap and water in a few seconds. It shows up more in hot weather, or if you wear hand cream under the band. If you would rather avoid it altogether, a thin coat of clear nail lacquer painted on the inside of the band cuts it right down, and you can redo it every few months.
How does it fasten? I can't manage small clasps.
There is no clasp at all. The cuff is open at the back, so you slide it over the side of your wrist and gently press the two ends until it sits where you want it. You can do it one-handed, and you can do it in the dark. To take it off, ease it back the same way.
Is there any nickel in it?
No. It is 99.9% pure copper and nothing else — no nickel, no plating over a mystery base metal. If nickel is the thing that has ruled out most jewellery for you, this is the reason to try it.
It's gone dark. Have I ruined it?
No — that is patina, and it is what solid copper does. Because the colour goes all the way through, you can bring it back whenever you like: a little lemon juice and salt on a soft cloth, rubbed over the band and rinsed off, has it bright again in about a minute. Some people polish it weekly, others leave it to go deep and warm. Both are correct.
What size should I order?
There is one size and it fits most wrists, because the band is open and you adjust it yourself. Ease the ends slightly apart for a looser fit or press them gently together for a closer one. Adjust it a little at a time rather than in one go.
