How Rook is made
The wave comes first
The curve is worked into the copper before anything is set into it, so the stones follow the line of the wave rather than sitting in a straight row on a bent band.
Bezel-set, one at a time
Each crystal drops into its own seat and a thin rim of copper is pushed over the edge to hold it. Slower than gluing, and it's what keeps the stones where they were put.

Common questions
Does copper leave a green mark on the skin?
Sometimes, yes — we'd rather be straight about it. The metal reacts with the natural acids on your skin and can leave a faint green tint underneath the band. It's harmless, it's a mark and not a rash, and soap and water take it off in seconds. Warm weather, hand cream and perfume all make it more likely. A thin coat of clear lacquer painted inside the band cuts it right down if you'd rather not deal with it at all.
Will the crystals come loose?
They're bezel-set, which means a rim of copper is folded over the edge of each stone by hand to trap it in place. There's no glue holding them, so there's nothing to dry out or let go in the heat.
How do I clean it without spoiling the stones?
Warm water, a drop of washing-up liquid and a soft toothbrush around the settings, then dry it properly. If the copper has darkened and you want it bright again, use a copper polish on the metal only and keep it off the crystals.
Is it dressy or everyday?
